Tina Filipczyk, PMP
Manager
“Two philosophies I live by at RGS are: 1) a positive attitude is important and infectious; 2) love both the work you do and the reason you do it.”
Tina has been at RGS for over 15 years. In 1995, she was intent on leaving the life insurance business, where she worked as an office manager. After interviewing with Richard G. Stieglitz (RGS's namesake), she learned that the only position available was the receptionist. She took the position – and within one year, she moved on to a Navy contract and was promoted to senior analyst.
Tina continued to be promoted to consultant, senior consultant, and now manager working on 15 different contracts and supporting federal, state, and local governments as well as private sector clients. She’s lead multiple and diverse projects with the Navy, Department of Justice, Department of State, Maryland Parks & Planning, and Northern Virginia Banking. She generates excellent results in the areas of process improvement, knowledge management, IM/IT portfolio management, and technology execution.
Tina has worked on just about every committee at RGS: the Benefits Advisory committee, Awards committee, Variable Compensation program, and others. She has been the recipient of six honors, including the President’s Award, Employee of the Year Award, and four Great Team Awards.
Tina grew up in Miami, Florida and moved to Virginia during her first year in college. She continued attending college in Northern Virginia earning an Associate’s and then a Bachelor’s degree. While at RGS, she obtained a Masters in Business Administration, a Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification, and all RGS internal consulting and project management certifications. Tina is married with two children, Cristin and Dana, and enjoys relaxing at her beach house in Bethany, Delaware.
