Matt Beekman, PMP
Practice Director, Naval Sea Systems Command
“Some people dream of great things...others stay awake and do them.”
After working for several large consulting firms, Matt joined RGS in 1999 looking for an opportunity to grow and experience all aspects of the consulting industry. He quickly established himself as a subject matter expert in the area of Activity-Based Costing and, with RGS’s support, became published in several journals and periodicals.
After three years, Matt took a two-month sabbatical from RGS in order to move closer to family in Upstate New York. During this time, RGS developed a plan that allowed Matt to telecommute from New York. He currently manages RGS’s Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Practice, which includes such projects as: strategic planning, human capital management, business financial management, information technology, and talent management.
During his tenure at RGS, Matt has been awarded the Rookie of the Year and Great Team Awards.
Matt earned a BS in both Public Administration and Political Science from James Madison University, as well as a Masters of Public Administration from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®) and Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Matt resides in Saratoga Springs, New York with his wife and three daughters. He is an avid runner and cyclist, and competes in several races throughout the year.
