RGS
Associates, Inc., a leading provider of change management services to
federal government agencies, today announced the award of a
regionalization consulting contract with one base year and two option
years that is valued at approximately $13.1 million if all options are
exercised. Under the contract, RGS and their partner Grant Thorton will
provide technical support services to assist in the review and
recommend improvements to Marine Installation Core Business Model
processes. The goals of the project include: determining the best
governance model for each process (i.e. regional versus local),
development of Measures of Effectiveness (MOEs)/performance metrics for
each process, and determining the best value method of service delivery
to support the operational forces. The project will begin with support
of Marine Corps Installation (MCI) Commands for the East Region at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina and MCI West at Camp Pendleton, California. As the MCI National Capital Region, MCI West Pacific and MCI Mid Pacific Commands are stood up at Quantico, Okinawa and Hawaii respectively, RGS will support their regionalization efforts as well.
"RGS
is very proud to have been selected by the Marine Corps to support this
important effort," said Tom McMahon, RGS President. "Based on our
experience with the stand-up of the Commander Naval Installations
Command (CNIC) and our regionalization of overseas shared services
experience with the US State Department we are confident we can provide
tremendous value to this new customer for RGS." Dyson Richards, Vice
President of Sales and Marketing at RGS believes "this opens a whole
new market for RGS in the Marine Corps. We put forth a quality proposal
at a competitive price and were selected by the customer as the best
value winner. It doesn't get any better than that." The project will be
managed within RGS's Department of Defense practice out of their Arlington, Virginia location.
