RGS
Associates, a leading change management consulting company focused on
supporting Federal Government Agencies, has been awarded a six-month
contract to provide strategic analysis services for the Army G-8
Quadrennial Defense Review office.
RGS
will provide research and analysis support to explore several strategic
issues facing the Army in the coming decades. Topics to be addressed
include combating WMD proliferation, force sizing and structure, the
Future Combat System, capitalizing on lessons learned, and roles and
missions of the Services. RGS has teamed with three experts from the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology's Security Studies Program to
allow the Army to leverage the latest strategic thinking from both the
academic and commercial worlds. All three members of the MIT team, Dr.
Harvey Sapolsky, Dr. Barry Posen, and Dr. Owen Cote, Jr. are widely
recognized authorities on defense strategy and were specifically sought
out by BGen Durbin, Director, Army QDR.
RGS
President Tom McMahon said that "this award is a testament to our
strategic vision and the fact that our top-notch staff delivers real
value to our clients. This award moves RGS into the forefront of
strategic advisory firms in the federal sector."
