RGS Associates, Inc., a leading provider of change management
services to federal government agencies, today announced that Dyson
Richards has re-joined the senior leadership team as Vice President of
Sales & Marketing. Richards will direct the sales and marketing
functions of RGS including sales planning, marketing direction,
corporate alliances and teaming, business development, capture
operations, and contract closure activities. Richards' previous tenure
at RGS as a senior manager from 1994 to 1998 and as a member of the
Board of Directors from 1998 to 2001 provide him with the immediate
knowledge of RGS' capabilities and strategic direction to hit the
ground running.
Richards has spent the past 6 years improving sales operations at
technology companies in and around the beltway. At Keyfile Corporation
from 1998 to 2001, Richards served as Federal Account Manager, Director
of Sales and ultimately Vice President of US Sales. In that time,
Richards was instrumental in increasing Keyfile's revenue and improving
profitability which led to ultimately selling the company for more than
four times annual revenues. In 2002, Richards accepted the position of
Director of Sales and Marketing at Vredenburg. In the subsequent 24
months, information technology revenues increased by over 120%. The
dramatic growth in IT revenues led to the purchase of Vredenburg by
American Management Systems (AMS) of Fairfax Virginia in 2003. AMS was
later acquired by CGI of Montreal Canada in May of 2004. Richards' last
position at CGI-AMS was as Sales Director for Technology and Strategic
Initiatives selling solutions to the US and UK defense, intelligence
and law enforcement communities.
"Dyson's experience in growing company revenues profitably, coupled
with his knowledge of RGS and the markets that we serve, made him the
ideal candidate to lead our sales and marketing program," said Dick
Stieglitz, RGS' President and Chief Executive Officer. "RGS is
committed to providing exceptional change management services to our
clients. Dyson joining our team will provide us with the capability to
get our message out to new clients who are struggling to meet the
challenges of today's federal IT environment and the War on Terrorism,
and find new opportunities to help clients while growing RGS."
Richards holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from The New School for
Social Research, New York, NY, and a Master of Science Degree in
Technology Management from the University of Maryland University
College in College Park, MD.
